Description
The Queen's Head Public House is a late 17th century timber-frame house that is partly faced with painted brick. It features a steep slate roof with gabled ends and has a rebuilt brick chimney stack that is off centre. The building has two storeys and an attic, with 19th century and modern casements. There is a modern single storey projecting brick extension at the front and two gabled dormers at the rear. Inside, there is a fireplace with a moulded chamfered bressumer and brick jambs, which has the date "WR 1683" carved into the brick. The interior also includes stop-chamfered ceiling beams. Additionally, there is a small single storey wing on the south-west corner, made of brick, with a steep pantile roof and parapeted gable ends, featuring a tall chimney stack.
