Description
The Old Ale House and Lynward is an 18th-century red brick house that has been divided into two tenements. It features a steep pantile roof with parapeted gable ends and a coved eaves cornice. There is a string course at floor level. The building has two storeys and an attic, with an attic window located in the end gable. It has five bays, with 19th-century sash windows on the first floor, two of which are blocked. The ground floor includes two-light mullion/transom casements on the left and sash windows with glazing bars on the right. There are two modern doors at the centre. Internally, there is a brick chimney stack at each end, and a 19th-century brick extension is located at the rear.
