Description
The Crown Public House is a 17th century timber-frame house located on Gissing School Lane. It was restored in 1925, featuring a ground floor faced with red brick and roughcast above. The building has a steep gable-ended black glazed pantile roof and a gabled cross wing on the east end. It is two storeys tall, with 19th century casement windows on the first floor and 20th century casement windows along with a modern glazed lean-to on the ground floor. There are brick chimney stacks at the west end and at the junction of the cross wing.
