Description
Chestnut Tree Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century. It has a timber-frame structure that is plastered, with brick facing on the north and south ends. The roof is thatched and features gabled ends. There is a moulded brick chimney stack that is off centre and has four rebuilt octagonal flues, along with an internal brick stack at the north end that has lozenge-shaped flues. The windows include 18th or 19th century casements on the ground floor to the right and a sash window with glazing bars. A modern gabled porch is located off centre in front of the chimney stack, and above the porch is a small three-light ovolo moulded mullion casement.
