Description

The Mill House is probably an early 18th-century timber-frame building, largely clad in brick and plastered. It has a black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends and paired modillions to the eaves cornice. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised four bays. A later 18th or 19th-century addition is visible on the right (east) side. The windows are 19th-century casements, with two and three lights. The doorway is positioned off-centre to the left and features a pilastered doorcase with a fielded panel door. Brick chimney stacks are located on the west end and off-centre. A 18th-century gabled wing, constructed of brick and flint, extends to the rear, along with a 19th-century lean-to addition.
