Description

The Church of St Mary, located on Forncett Low Road in Forncett St Mary, has origins dating back to the 13th century. The nave features Perpendicular windows, while the chancel and vestry were added in 1869, showcasing reticulated traceried windows alongside a re-set 13th-century lancet. The church includes a north porch and a north door adorned with linenfold panels. It has a slender west tower that lacks buttresses, topped with an embattled parapet featuring flushwork panelling and two-light Perpendicular bell-openings. Inside, there is a 17th-century communion rail that now surrounds the font.
