Description
Old Boyland Hall is a 16th-century house situated on a moated site. It features a timber-framed structure with roughcast walls and brick end walls, topped by a pantile roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys, with the first floor jettied on brackets. There is a moulded soffit above a former bay window over the doorway. The house has a four-window range, all fitted with modern metal frame casements, and the ground floor includes modern French windows. A glazed door is located near the center of the facade, and there are brick chimney stacks at each end of the building. At the rear (north), there is a mid-19th century red brick wing. Inside, a notable feature is the dragon beam at the south-west end.
