Description

Limetree Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with a probable 16th-century wing on the north-west that creates an L-shaped plan. The house is timber-framed and rendered, with the 17th-century section fronted in late 19th-century yellow brick. It has a steeply pitched roof covered in black glazed pantiles with gabled ends. A brick chimney stack is located off-centre, featuring diagonally set shafts. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic. Late 19th-century windows with three lights and mullions are present. A late 19th-century gabled porch is situated off-centre, in front of the chimney stack. The east gable features original carved brackets, while the west gable has ovolo moulded mullion windows. An early 19th-century moulded doorcase with a cornice and panelled door is located at the rear (south). The interior of the 17th-century range includes moulded chamfered beams with carved stops.
