Description
Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is rendered and likely timber-framed, with a pantile roof that is hipped to the north. The building has a 2-cell plan featuring a gabled cross-wing to the north, an outshut to the rear, and a range at the front. The facade is two storeys high and consists of four bays. The left-hand gabled bay projects slightly and has a stack at the gable end. There is a 20th-century door and a plank and muntin door with a 20th-century casement window between them. A 19th-century single-storey range is positioned at right angles to the right-hand end. The second and third bays of the first floor have 20th-century two-light casements. The building features a rendered off-centre axial stack, and the south gable is weather-boarded with barge boards. At the rear of the second bay, there is a two-storey outshut with a doorway. Inside, there is an ovolo moulded spine beam in the ground floor room, but access is limited.
