Description

Gunshaw Hall is an early 17th century timber-frame house that has been faced with red brick in the late 19th century. It features a steep tiled roof with gabled ends and a gabled cross wing on the west end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with early 19th century three and four-light casement windows. The central entrance has a late 19th century glazed door and a wooden porch added in the same period. A large brick chimney stack is located at the centre of the cross wing, featuring six octagonal flues with moulded bases. Inside, the south-east room showcases a ceiling beam with an ovolo moulded chamfer and exposed timber-framing.
