Description

The Fairland, comprising Nos. 1 and 2, is a pair of 18th-century cottages. They are built with roughcast rendering and have pantile roofs, one being hipped. The cottages are two storeys high, with four widely spaced windows. No. 1 is one window wide, featuring 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars and a front doorway. No. 2 is three windows wide, with two-light casement windows also containing glazing bars. It has a later brick porch with a stepped gable and a round-headed doorway. A bowed fixed-light window with glazing bars, pilasters, and an entablature with a wide cornice is set into the end wall of No. 2. Two axial chimney stacks are present.
