Description

No. 1 Mere Street is a late 15th century building that has undergone later alterations. It features a combination of brick and timber framing, with a plastered exterior and a pantile roof. The structure is three stories tall and has three windows, which are flush frame sashes now only featuring central glazing bars. The shop front, dating from the early 19th century, is adorned with enriched consoles. A finely carved angle post from the late 15th century adds to its historical significance. On the north side, there are two windows and twin gables.
