Description
This serpentine wall stands on the west side of Eden Close. It is an early 19th-century "crinkle crankle" wall constructed of red brick with a flint rubble plinth. The wall is topped with rounded brick coping. A small 20th-century brick pillar is located at the left end. Towards the right, there is a 20th-century round-headed arch, and a tall brick pillar surmounted by a stone cap. While extensive rebuilding has occurred, particularly in the right half, significant original fabric remains opposite numbers 2 to 5 Eden Close. The wall was likely originally part of the Thorpe Lodge Estate.
