Description
The north boundary wall of Number 6 is an early 19th-century structure known as a 'crinkle crankle' wall. It is built of red brick in English bond and features a flint rubble plinth. The wall has rounded brick coping and includes two pillars to the left of center, which were part of a former gate that is now blocked and topped with flat stone caps. At the left end, there is a wooden ribbed gate set within a segmental brick arch. A small 20th-century brick pier is located at the right end. While some repairs have been made, the wall remains largely unaltered and is likely to have been part of the Thorpe Lodge Estate. It was previously listed under Harvey Lane.
