Description

Ber House is a former house, now offices, dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with remaining features from the 17th century. The building is constructed of red brick with a black pantile roof. It is three storeys high and comprises seven bays. Doors are set within recessed end bays, flanked by pilasters that support an architrave with a keystone and pediment resting on consoles. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a rubbed brick flat arch. A bracket cornice runs along the top of the building, above which is a hipped roof. The interior reveals early 17th-century timber framing at wall-plate level on the second floor to the rear.
