Description

The Thatched House is an 18th-century house located on Anchor Street in Tunstead. It is built of brick and thatch and has two storeys with three bays. The house features a brick plinth and a central door that is sheltered by a 20th-century wooden porch. The ground floor has 19th-century casement windows in their original openings, which are topped with rubbed and gauged flat arches. The first floor has three casements under soldier arches. The building is adorned with corner pilasters that have moulded brick capitals, and it has internal gable stacks. A platband is present on the right-hand gable.
