Description

The Colne House Hotel is a building dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century, with additions from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stuccoed material and has a steep slated roof with gabled ends. The west end has a lower-pitched hipped roof. Paired brackets are present at the eaves. The building is two storeys and has an attic. It has an asymmetrical facade with 3:4:3 window spacing, featuring three windows at each end in segmental bows. The windows are sash windows, some with glazing bars, and the ground floor includes French windows. A modern, single-story wing projects to the right (east), and a central, modern, wooden gabled porch has been added. Rendered chimney stacks with cornices are visible.
