Description
These are three cottages located on Walsingham Road in Barsham, near Houghton St Giles. The buildings date primarily to the 17th century, with a further cottage added in the early 19th century (number 120). They are constructed of flint with brick and stone dressings, and have red pantiled roofs. Numbers 121 and 122 were originally a lobby entrance house, later subdivided into a row of three cottages. The ground floor features three two-light casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has four casement windows with glazing bars. There are three boarded doors, with brick dressings to windows, doors, and the eaves cornice. A central stack is situated between numbers 121 and 122, and a former gable-end stack to number 122 is now on the party wall with number 120. The ground floor has cross beams with crudely stopped chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. Number 122 includes a rear outshut. Number 120, the later addition, has a single casement window on the ground floor featuring diamond panes, and two casement windows above with glazing bars, together with an off-centre stack.
