Description

This is a group value building comprising numbers 70 to 74 on the High Street in Blakeney. The building dates to the 17th and 18th centuries and is constructed of flint with red brick dressings. The roofs are tiled with pantiles, the east end being hipped. The building is set at a right angle to the road. The east end (number 74) originally faced the road but has a later parapeted wall and modern casement windows. The interior of number 74 features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. Number 72 includes a segmental vaulted brick cellar. A rear section of number 70, dating to the 18th century, is built of flint with brick dressings and has a pantile roof with gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. It has two storeys and three bays with sash windows with glazing bars and 19th-century casements, alongside a modern glazed door.
