Description
No. 86 High Street is a late 18th-century house located at the rear of Nos. 82 and 84, facing its own garden. It is constructed of buff brick and features a parapet with a moulded cornice and a string course. The building has a symmetrical facade with two bays on each side of a slightly recessed central bay. The windows are sash with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows have flat rubbed brick arches. A central porch with Tuscan columns supports an entablature and features a glazed door with a flat brick arch. The roof is hipped and covered with pantiles. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey wing made of flint and brick, also from the 18th century, with a pantile roof, brick dentil eaves, and casement and sash windows, all with glazing bars.
