Description

The Old Rectory, located on Wiveton Road in Blakeney, dates to the 16th and 17th centuries. It is constructed of flint and brick, with some areas pebble-dashed. The roof is steeply pitched, covered with black-glazed pantiles, with a hipped south end and a parapeted gable to the north. The building is six bays wide, featuring 2-, 3-, and 5-light mullion and transom windows with leaded panes. The central doorway is flanked by pilasters and topped with an entablature, leading to a fielded panel door. Brick chimney stacks are located at each end of the building and near the north end. Inside, the hall contains heavily moulded ceiling beams and a panelled screen.
