Description

The buildings at 145 and 147 High Street date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of flint with brick dressings, and have pantile roofs with gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. The buildings are two storeys high. Number 145 fronts the road and has two bays with sash windows; all but the ground floor window on the right have glazing bars. The ground floor window on the right has modern boarded shutters. A central brick chimney stack is present. A single-storey wing is attached to the left (north) side of the building and has a modern glazed door. Number 147 adjoins the rear (east) of number 145 and features two bays; the first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor has modern casements. Two new porches with pantile roofs have been added.
