Description

Nos 17 and 19 on West Street are early 19th-century buildings made of red brick with a slate roof featuring gabled ends and overhanging eaves supported by paired brackets. The buildings stand three storeys tall and have four windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars and flat rubbed brick arches. The second floor includes one blind window. The ground floor of No 17 has a modern glazed entrance door and window, while No 19 features a large, disproportionate modern shop front with a high fascia and a mosaic tile surround. Nos 15, 17, and 19 are part of a group, with Nos 15 and 15A being of local interest only.
