Description
No. 37 Bridge Street is an early 18th-century building constructed of flint and brick, featuring a stuccoed front. It has a steep slated roof with coped gable ends and a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows: two on the left, one in the center that slightly projects, and two on the right. The ground floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, although the glazing bars have been removed from all but the right-hand windows. The central doorway is notable for its fluted pilasters, which are elliptical in section and support an entablature. The doorway also has panelled reveals, a rectangular fanlight, and a later glazed door. There are three flat-roofed dormers with cornices and casements. Brick chimney stacks are located over the gable ends.
