Description
Nos 1 and 3 Bridge Street are late 18th-century buildings constructed of painted brick, featuring a hipped pantile roof. The buildings stand three storeys high and have a symmetrical façade with a window arrangement of 2:1:2, with the central window slightly projecting. The windows are sashes with glazing bars and are topped with flat brick arches.
The ground floor has a central doorway that is pilastered, with console brackets supporting an entablature that features a dentilled cornice and a frieze decorated with swags and an urn. The doorway includes panelled reveals, a semi-circular fanlight with gothic glazing bars, and a wide fielded panel door with glazed top panels. On either side of the doorway, there are modern shop fronts with large fascia signs.
