Description
No. 29 Station Road is a 17th-century house that has been roughcast and whitewashed in the 20th century, with part of the south side built on brick. The roof features 20th-century pantiles on the north side and black glazed pantiles on the south. The ground floor has two separate shop fronts, with a central door flanked by pilasters and two plate glass windows, which date from the early 19th century. On the north side, there is a mid-19th century plate glass shop front. The first floor has three 20th-century windows. Inside, the ground floor features chamfered and stopped spine beams. The south side includes a mid-18th century whitewashed brick cottage, which has a 20th-century door and windows on both the ground and first floors, along with a first floor plat-band. There is a brick end stack from the 17th century. This building is listed for its group value with numbers 25 and 27.
