Description
This is a row of three cottages, dating from the late 17th century to the early 19th century. The cottages are built of brick, with flint and brick detailing at number 1. They have a brick dentil eaves cornice and a red pantiled roof. Number 1 is the earliest house in the row, featuring a 17th-century core with 18th-century detailing. It has a ground-floor, two-part tripartite sash window with glazing bars. The front door is located under a pentice canopy. Number 2 has one ground-floor and one first-floor sash window with glazing bars, and a 19th-century boarded door with a central glazed opening, and part glazed door. Number 4, known as "Dene Cottage," has three bays and features two ground-floor and two first-floor sash windows with glazing bars. It includes two end and two party wall stacks. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
