Description
Manor Farmhouse and Cottage is a house dating from 1619, as indicated by the datestone. It features flint walls with brick dressings and stone quoins, topped by a red pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with a two-storey south wing that continues as a single-storey cottage, creating a T-shaped plan.
On the south entrance front of the main house, there is one late 19th-century sash window and two tripartite casements. The first floor has one tripartite sash window and two 2-light casements, all with brick dressings around the openings. The entrance is a brick porch with a bracketed canopy and a 20th-century door. The eaves cornice features dogtooth brickwork, and there are kneelers and a parapet. The end stack is made of brick with a flue that is flush with the flint west gable, which has two blocked brick-dressed attic windows.
The off-centre stack aligns with the south wing and is constructed of knapped flint with brick dressings. This wing has one ground floor and one first floor 2-light casement window, along with a brick parapet and stack, all beneath the red pantiled roof. There is one blocked window and door, plus one door and one 3-light casement window. To the east, there is an additional bay of the main house, featuring one ground floor 3-light casement and one first floor 20th-century window.
At the rear, there is one blocked brick-dressed mullioned window and extra stone courses at the eaves level. Inside, the central ground floor room has a moulded spine beam and joists, while the room to the west features a roll-moulded spine and bressumer beam.
