Description
Clevencey is a house with a T-shaped plan, featuring a 17th-century rear section and a 19th-century addition at the south. The earlier part of the house is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a roof covered with red pantiles. It includes two three-light and one two-light casement windows with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors. There are some 17th-century brick dressings, and a datestone from 1636 may have been added later. The house has an end stack. Inside, there is a spine beam and bressumer with chamfers and simple or ogee stops. The 1840 front addition is at right angles to the south and is made of brick, consisting of three bays and two storeys. It features two two-light casement windows on the ground floor and three two-light casement windows on the first floor, all with glazing bars. There is also a mid-19th-century wooden porch with naive scrolled brackets and a panelled door.
