Description

23, 25, and 28 Raynham Park is a house that has been converted into cottages, likely once part of Raynham Old Hall. It dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century and is constructed of rubble and knapped flint with brick dressings, topped with red and black pantiled roofs.

The entrance front faces north, featuring a cottage to the west with a central four-centred brick door that has a moulded arch and chamfered jambs, along with a 20th-century door. There is a 20th-century two-light casement window on the ground floor and a four-light casement window on the first floor. To the north and south, there are two-storey garderobe or staircase wings. The building has a crow stepped parapet and a chimney stack from the 19th century.

To the west, there is a two-storey extension made of flint on the ground floor and brick on the first floor, featuring 20th-century casements and a crow stepped end gable from the 19th century. The house to the east has a two-light casement window on the ground floor and casements at eaves level on the first floor. There is a boarded off centre door and a projecting 19th-century service wing to the north. The party wall and the east gable have crow stepped gables, and there is a central ridge stack with four diamond-pattern shafts.
