Description

This building, at 12 and 14 High Street, dates to 1793. It is a two-storey and attic structure of the 18th century. The front has four near-flush sash windows at the first floor, each with glazing bars; a gabled dormer is topped with leaded glazing and roofing tiles. The exterior is stuccoed, with brick showing at the toothed eaves. Number 12 retains an early 19th-century shop front with its original glazing bars. Number 14 features a six-panel door, an oblong fanlight enclosed in a wooden case, and a flush frame sash window to the left, with glazing bars. Numbers 4 to 20 (even) form a group.
