Description
Nos 5 to 9 on Chapel Street are early 19th-century buildings with a stucco finish and a pantile roof featuring gable ends. They rise three storeys and have four windows. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, with No 7 featuring a canted bay on the second floor. Nos 8 and 9 both have two-storeyed canted bays of sashes with glazing bars on the first and second floors. No 5 has a modern glazed door, while No 7 includes a wide elliptically headed carriageway and a modern doorway. No 9 is distinguished by a moulded pilastered doorcase with an entablature, reeded frieze, and cornice. The north end wall of the building is constructed of flint. These buildings are part of a group of listed structures on Chapel Street, with Nos 1 and 3 being of local interest only.
