Description
Nos. 21 and 23 on St James' Street in King's Lynn are two shops dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brown brick, while No. 23 is whitewashed. It features a pantile roof and has two storeys with a dormer attic. There is an arched passage at the rear between the two premises. No. 21 has a late 19th-century shopfront with fluted Ionic pilasters on either side and a horned sash window on the first floor. No. 23 has a 20th-century shopfront and a casement window on the first floor. Both buildings have a dentil eaves cornice beneath a gabled roof and two dormers. The rear of the property includes two flat-roofed 20th-century extensions.
