Description
30 St James' Street is a late 18th-century shop and flat located in King's Lynn. The building is constructed of brown brick and has three storeys divided into three bays. It features an impressive early 19th-century butchers' shopfront, which was still in use at the time of review. The entrance is positioned to the left of an 8-light transomed shop window, which has curved heads above the lights. The shopfront has tiled edges and a plinth. To the right of the shopfront, there is a panelled door leading to a passage at the rear, situated beneath a pierced grille. The upper floors have late 19th-century sash windows, each with one glazing bar and gauged skewback arches. The building is topped with a projecting eaves cornice that has paired bracket decoration, and it has a gabled roof with an internal gable-end stack on the east side.
