Description

No. 33 Downham Road is a house built in the late 18th century, with additions made around 1840. The structure is made of brick and has a slate roof, designed in a T plan. The front facade, which dates from the 19th century, features two storeys and three bays. A panelled central door is set within a fluted case topped with a broken pediment, and there is a fanlight above the door. The original sash windows are located beneath scalloped hoods and are framed by gauged skewback arches. A parapet at the top conceals the gabled roof. At the rear, there is a wing that includes late 18th-century casement windows across two storeys, along with a 20th-century door and a French door.
