Description
No. 35 Bridge Street is a house with origins dating back to the mid-16th century, although it has undergone significant alterations since then. It was restored and further modified in 1967. The building is constructed of brick, which is rendered and colourwashed, and features a plaintile roof. It has two storeys and a dormer attic.
There is a blocked doorway with a plain door-case to the right, and to the left, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door. Between these two entrances is a late 19th-century sash window that has one glazing bar, with a similar window located above it. The house has a dentil eaves cornice and a gabled roof that includes one gabled dormer. An internal gable-end stack is located to the north.
Inside, no original features remain, and the winder staircase to the west of the stack has been moved. The building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
