Description

The Retreat is a building likely constructed around 1830-1840. It is made of pale brick and stands two stories tall, featuring three windows on the first floor. These windows have glazing bars and are set within wider recessed panels that have segmental heads. The eaves are supported by coupled brackets, and the building has a hipped roof covered with slate. There are chimneys topped with brick cornices, and a bell is located at the center of the roof ridge. A stone or cement Doric porch is present, and there is a single window wing on the left side that is somewhat set back.
