Description

This cottage, located 25 metres west of the Chequers Public House, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed clunch rubble with brick dressings and features a red pantiled roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has one window, with an outshut at the rear to the north. There are single two-light casements with glazing bars on both the ground and first floors, along with a boarded door. The ground floor openings are accented with brick dressings and brick arches. A brick dentil eaves cornice is present, and there is a stack at the west end. This cottage is included for its group value with the Chequers Inn.
