Description
No. 29 Hall Plain is a shop with accommodation that has been altered and is now used as a shop with offices. It dates from the early 18th century and has a post-medieval plan-form, with the building running perpendicularly to the street. The exterior is made of colourwashed brick and features a pantiled roof. The building has three storeys and a two-window range. The shop front is from the 20th century. Above the shop, there are two 2/2 horned sash windows on each floor, with the second-floor windows being smaller. The roof is gabled and hipped at the front. To the left, Row 71 has a double wave-moulded bridging beam with a large tongue stop. There are two blocked doorways leading into No. 29. The rear gable includes a second-floor platband and a mix of sash and casement windows.
