Description

Church Farm House is a 16th-century farm house. It has brick and timber frame walls and a pantile roof. The house is two storeys high, with a single-storey range to the rear (west) and a lean-to extension to the north. The south end, featuring two windows, has a projecting timber frame section which juts out over a flint plinth. The north end and the south gable wall's ground floor are built of narrow brick in English Bond. A 20th-century casement window is set into a reduced opening, featuring chamfered reveals and a hood mould. The front door is a six-panel door set within the timber frame section, with a smaller Tudor arched head above it. A blocked window is located to the right. Other windows are 20th-century replacements. Chimney stacks are at each end of the property. A late 18th-century single-storey rear extension features an eastern hip and parapet gable with tumbling, and brick dentil eaves. A window in the west gable has a semi-circular brick arch and hood mould.
