Description

Owls Barn is a three-steaded barn from the early 18th century, constructed of brick and thatch. It features chequered glazed headers, a brick plinth, and a platband on the gable walls at eaves level. The south side has central barn doors flanked by shallow buttresses and blocked lozenge-shaped honeycomb vents. The gables have parapets with moulded brick kneelers and owl holes at the apex. There is a 20th-century louvred opening in the east gable. The roof is a butt purlin design with tie beams on wall posts supported by arch braces.
