Description

The House at Owls Barn is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick and colourwashed brick, topped with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and features a continuous rear outshut. It has three windows, a central half-glazed entrance door, and 20th-century casement windows. The first floor displays segmental brick arches, and there is evidence of blocked windows in the south wall. The house has parapet gables and end stacks, as well as chamfered bridging joists with ogee stops. Inside, there is a fragment of a fireplace bressumer that bears the monogram R.W. and is dated 1732. This building is included for its group value.
