Description

The Retreat is a house situated on Hungate Street, Aylsham. It has a 17th-century core, which was later refronted in the early 20th century. The exterior is brick, with colourwashed plaster, and has a steep-pitched thatched roof, hipped at the north end. A central chimney stack rises from the roof. The house is two storeys in height, and has casement windows, with some later sash windows.
