Description
Adam and Eve House is an 18th-century former public house in Buxton with Lammas. The building is constructed of red brick with decorative dark brick headers. It has a flint plinth and a steeply pitched pantile roof. It is arranged as two storeys and has an L-shaped plan. The main facade has three bays, with a central segmental-headed opening. The windows are 3-light casements with segmental heads. There are three gabled dormers with 20th-century casements. The parapeted gables feature brick tumbling and internal chimney stacks, and a plat-band is present on the south-west gable. A lower, two-storey block projects from the north-west corner, featuring two 2-light casements at the first floor. Ground floor openings have been altered with 20th-century casements and a door, and there is a gable chimney stack.
