Description
The Baptist Chapel, built in the early 19th century and extended in 1876, is located on White Hart Street in Aylsham. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof. The chapel is a single storey building with a gallery at the west end. It has sash windows with glazing bars and rendered flat arches. At the north-west corner, there is a single storey porch with a door surround that includes a shouldered architrave and rusticated pilasters, along with part-glazed two-leaf panelled doors. Above the door opening is a timber keystone. To the east, there is a later two storey wing, also made of red brick and topped with a hipped pantile roof. This wing has casement windows with segmental heads. Additionally, there are one and two storey pantiled lean-tos at the east end, and a chimney stack on the east wall features two diagonally-set chimney shafts.
