Description
33 Market Place is a former house built in the early 18th century that was converted into an estate agency in the mid-20th century. It underwent alterations, including a new shop front and first-floor window, in the late 20th century.
The building features a ground floor made of 20th-century brick, while the first floor is constructed from rendered and whitewashed flint and brick. The roof is covered with black-glazed pantiles, with some later repairs using red pantile, and the chimney stack is made of brick.
The main facade facing Market Place is two storeys high and consists of a narrow single bay. The ground floor has a late-20th-century shopfront with a plate-glass display window and a half-glazed door. On the first floor, there is a late-20th-century two-over-two horned sash window. The internal gable-end stack at the west end of the roof is shared with the adjacent building at 33 Market Place, which is listed separately.
