Description
No. 17 Bridge Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a construction of whole flints and pebbles, with brick front and rear walls, all of which are whitewashed. The roof is made of concrete tiles and the structure is two storeys high with two bays.
The central doorway is round-arched and dates from the 19th century, while the door itself and the full-width shop front are from the 20th century. On the first floor, there are two 6/6 sash windows. The building has a dentil eaves cornice beneath a gabled roof. Originally, there were internal gable-end stacks on both sides, but the stack on the right (south-west) has been removed. The interior has not been inspected.
