Description

Spring Head is a small masonry structure located approximately 35 metres north-east of The White House in Swanton Morley. It is not earlier than the 18th century but includes a piece of Medieval work. The structure is made of flint with brick dressings and has a brick vault on the inside. It has a roughly circular shape with a dome and a low entrance. Above the entrance, there is a triangular stone lintel featuring a slightly cambered soffit and a late Medieval tympanum carving of a genuflecting angel.
