Description
The White Horse is a public house with a late 17th-century timber-framed core, significantly altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has pantiled roofs. The building is two storeys high. A 19th-century flat porch is flanked by early 20th-century tripartite sash windows. A flat brick string course runs between the floors, and there are two early 19th-century casement windows on the first floor. A gabled roof has a ridge stack above the door. A cross wing to the right features two 19th-century casement windows and a matching attic window, also with a string course and a gabled roof. Group value is present due to its contribution to the character of the Market Place.
