Description

A terrace of seven houses at 4-16 Lynn Street, Swaffham, was built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of flint with a brick facade and have red pantiled roofs, with the roof at number 16 being black-glazed. Number 14 has a pebbledashed finish. The two-storey terrace has a single window bay in each house, totaling seven window bays. Originally, each house featured a four-panel flush door under a hood, with a three-over-three unhorned sash window to the right of the door on each floor. While most of the original sashes have been replaced with late 19th century two-over-two horned sashes, number 16 retains its original sashes. Number 4 has a full-height canted bay window with two-over-two horned sashes. Numbers 4, 6, and 12-16 have 20th century half-glazed doors; number 16 also has a pilastered doorcase. Numbers 10-16 feature bracketed eaves. The roofs are gabled and have seven ridge stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
